About Pool

Pool is a top-down game of 8-ball against a computer opponent. You break, the first ball potted decides who takes solids and who takes stripes, and you clear your group before sinking the black. Balls roll, slow on the cloth, bounce off the cushions and knock into each other the way you would expect on a real table.

A dotted line and a ghost ball show where the cue ball will make contact, and a yellow line shows where the object ball will head. Foul by potting the cue ball or hitting the wrong ball first and your opponent gets ball in hand. Win a frame to score bonus points, then the computer gets sharper.

How to play

  • Point at a spot to aim, then drag back from it and let go to shoot. A longer pull means a harder shot.
  • On a keyboard, the left and right arrows aim, up and down set power and Space shoots.
  • With ball in hand, move the cue ball to a clear spot and click or press Space to place it.
