About Sudoku
Sudoku gives you a fresh puzzle every time you play. Each grid is generated on the spot and checked so it has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard, then fill the empty squares so no number repeats in a row, column or 3 by 3 box.
Pencil notes let you jot small candidate numbers in a square while you work things out, and placing a number clears it from the notes around it. Wrong entries turn red and count as mistakes. Your score depends on the level, how fast you finish and how few mistakes you make.
How to play
- Tap a square, then tap a number on the pad, or use the arrow keys and 1 to 9.
- Turn on Notes (or press N) to pencil in small candidates instead of answers.
- Start with rows, columns and boxes that are nearly full, then use notes for the tricky squares.
