About Mines
Mines is a logic game played on a grassy grid. Open a square and it shows how many of its eight neighbours hide a mine. Your first click is always safe and usually opens a big patch, so you have clues to work from straight away. Open every safe square to clear the field.
Plant flags on squares you are sure hide a mine. On a phone, switch on Flag mode or press and hold a square. Choose Small, Medium or Large: bigger fields have more mines and pay more points, and finishing quickly adds a time bonus.
How to play
- Click or tap a square to open it. Right-click, long-press or use Flag mode to flag one.
- A number tells you how many mines touch that square, including diagonals.
- Tap an opened number with all its mines flagged to open the rest of its neighbours.
