About Four in a Row

Four in a Row is played on a frame seven columns wide and six rows tall. Players take turns dropping a disc into a column, and it falls to the lowest empty slot. The first to get four of their colour in a line across, down or diagonally wins. If the frame fills up with no line, it is a draw.

Play the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or choose 2 Players and pass the device between you. The CPU on Hard looks seven moves ahead and rarely misses a threat, so you need to build two threats at once to beat it. Quicker wins score more, and a winning streak adds a bonus.

How to play

  • Tap a column to drop your disc into it.
  • Use the left and right arrows to aim, then Space or Down to drop.
  • Block your rival's lines of three while building your own.
